The Dark side of Glamour

As promised I have more to report from yesterday’s Givenchy Paris Haute Couture S/S 2012 Show.

Wow- where to begin. Bold. Strong. Dark. Fragile. Whimsical. That is just some of the words I could use to describe the ten couture gowns created by the magnificent Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisc.

This collection is in stark contract to last season’s ethereal ivory gowns.
The ten couture gowns displayed for S/S 2012 were a mix between a punk rocker and turn of the century glamour girl. The punk aspect created through Tisc’s choice of accessories, which included all models wearing large metal bullrings, oversized jewelled earrings and gown detailing created from crocodile skins. The glamour created through the intrinsic detailing of the gowns using hand beaded crystals and the use of luxury leathers.

Well what an enchanting, refreshing collection. Enjoy and see all you exoers later today. Mwahxox
